Super Sleuths Challenge
Super Sleuth Club Rules
1. Get a copy of the Super Sleuths' Club Answer Sheet from Mrs. Napolillo or you can click on the link below for a copy.
Answer Key
2. Get Permission: Always get your parent's permission to use the internet. *See the Safety First note below.* Remember YOU DO NOT NEED THE INTERNET TO SUCCEED! Feel free to also use encyclopedias, maps, dictionaries, and other reference materials.
3. Choose a Challenge: Start with subjects you love-- you do not have to do the challenges in order. Answer the Super Sleuths' Challenge question on the Answer Sheet. You may work on the Challenges when your work is done or at home.
4. Get a Parent Signature: Every challenge you want credit for MUST have a signature from your parents. This shows that they knew you were working on a challenge and that you were not on the internet without permission. It also shows that they were close by to learn along with you!!
5. Test your knowledge: When you feel that you are ready, sign up to be quizzed. You can be quizzed during Morning Work time, during recess, or after school. You need to hand in your Answer Sheet, and I will orally ask you questions which you will attempt to answer. You may not have any notes or assistance during this time. If you answer a question incorrectly, you will have to wait until the next day, to try again, before gaining credit.
6. Hall of Fame: Students will need to complete 20 activities in order to go on the Super Sleuths' Club Hall of Fame. They will remain there until I retire!!
1 - 20 Challenges: "Gumshoe"
21 - 40 Challenges: "Sergeant"
41 - 60 Challenges: "Detective"
61 - 80 Challenges: "Lieutenant"
81 - 100 Challenges: "Inspector"
Now that you know about the SUPER SLEUTHS CLUB, the question that remains is this:
Are YOU a Super Sleuth?
Parents and Students: Be a smart Internet researcher! I have made every attempt to ensure that the contents found on the links are appropriate for students. Please remember to practice safety rules while using the Internet! ALWAYS immediately exit out of any pop-up windows that appear. NEVER click on any advertisements on the webpages or register for any special offers. Finally, TELL Mrs. Napolillo if you see anything that you think may be inappropriate, or if you find links that do not work properly.
